Postbus drivers.
With your safe driving skills and friendly personality, you take your passengers safely and reliably to their destination.

Tasks.
Here’s what a normal day for you looks like:
- You drive regional public transport or carry out excursions or special transport services, such as replacement services.
- You keep to the timetable and inform passengers about connections.
- You sell tickets.
- You advise passengers and provide them with information.
- Depending on the route, you transport luggage, bicycles, skis, snowboards or postal items.
- You help passengers with reduced mobility, e.g. getting on and off the bus. This includes operating ramps and lifts.
Qualifications.
What you have to offer:
- You are at least 21 years old.
- You either already have a category D licence or are ready to complete the relevant training. You must have a category C or B licence with at least two years of regular practical driving experience.
- You are in good health (see minimum medical requirements).
- You have completed an apprenticeship.
- You have an unblemished reputation.
- You have good written and spoken knowledge of at least one national language.
- You ideally have foreign language skills when driving in tourist areas.
- You enjoy driving. You don’t mind irregular working hours and shifts on Sundays and public holidays.

Here’s how your training goes.
Have you been invited for a personal interview? First of all, congratulations! Before you are allowed to sit behind a Postbus wheel, you still need to complete the following steps:

Driving school and theory lessons, complete practical and theoretical examinations, introduction to operations

Training
The training takes place in the first two months after the start of the new job. During this time, you’ll receive theoretical and practical driving instruction for cat. D up to passing the exam and the theoretical introduction to operations.
After the category D test
Once you’ve passed the cat. D exam, you’ll receive a practical introduction related to your area of operation. You’ll then be ready to start work and drive our passengers safely to their destination.
