Logistics technician pre-apprenticeship

You still don’t have an apprenticeship or need more preparation? Over the course of a year, you’ll gain an insight into logistics. You’ll support the professionals with all tasks that arise and help out wherever needed.

In the logistics technician pre-apprenticeship, you can spend a year getting a proper feel for the job and seeing whether this career is right for you. To ensure you get off to a good start with us, you should ideally have the following skills and experience:

This training is for anyone between the ages of 15 and 20 who is not yet starting an apprenticeship after school or who still needs some extra time to get off to a flying start due to language, school or personal reasons, for example.

You’re interested in the professional field of logistics.

You find it exciting to see how parcels and letters get from A to B. Machines, sorting, delivery: you really enjoy everything to do with logistics.

You can read, speak and understand German.

You have a good grasp of German: reading, writing and understanding. This ensures that everything runs smoothly in the team, at school and when sorting parcels.

You have the power to perform physical tasks.

You get stuck in and don’t shy away from strenuous activities. You sometimes also move heavy objects.

You are reliable and honest.

People can rely on you, and you tackle all tasks conscientiously.

You enjoy learning new things.

You’re always keen to try out and learn new things. You like to try out tasks in the warehouse and learn something cool every day.

Training and vocational school:

A year full of practical experience: receiving and sorting letters and parcels, operating machines and helping to load and unload vehicles. At school, you’ll learn German, mathematics and IT, all in a compact and practical way. And best of all: coaches will help you to prepare for your next apprenticeship. Training positions are available at the Zurich-Mülligen letter center, for example.

And after the pre-apprenticeship?

After completing the pre-apprenticeship, you’ll obtain an employment reference from Swiss Post. The aim is for you to have found an apprenticeship by the end of the pre-apprenticeship.
