To ensure you get off to a good start with us, you should ideally have the following skills and experience:
For training in mixed delivery (letters and parcels), you can already get a driving licence for a three-wheeled electric scooter at the age of 15. If you want to do the training for parcel delivery, you must be at least 17 at the start of the apprenticeship, as you will be travelling by car.
You like to be in contact with people.
You like to interact with others, work in a team and make the day a little easier for people.
You enjoy working outside.
Fresh air instead of the office keeps you fit. You’ll deliver letters or parcels in all weathers. You can demonstrate your hardiness in the winter and enjoy the sun in the summer.
You have the power to perform physical tasks.
You get stuck in and don’t shy away from strenuous activities. You move the vehicles and sometimes also heavy parcels.
You are reliable and honest.
People can rely on you and know that you take responsibility. Furthermore, you handle all consignments confidentially and ensure that important information is not disclosed in any other way.
Getting up early is no problem for you.
You’re ready to start the day to the full. Getting up early should not be a problem for you, because we get started in the morning.
You work at your best as part of the team.
You enjoy working with others, are good at communicating and say what you mean.
Training and vocational school:
Your apprenticeship lasts three years. With mixed delivery (letters and parcels), you’ll work in a team and get to know various locations in your region. When it comes to parcel delivery, you’ll deliver parcels under instruction and take on more responsibility step by step. You’ll become proficient with a forklift truck and obtain your driving licence for a car or motorcycle with the support of Swiss Post. And at school, you’ll get the theoretical know-how you need.
And after your apprenticeship?
After your apprenticeship, there are many ways to further your education, with or without a vocational school-leaving certificate:
Diploma
You can obtain a diploma or sit a higher professional examination, such as the logistics diploma or the logistics manager diploma.
Higher technical school
For example, as a technician for business processes, so that you can delve even deeper into exciting tasks.
Bachelor or Master
In business and management, if you’re interested in a degree and want to pursue a career.
