Trainee programme
You’ll spend 18 months working in various Swiss Post units. You’ll contribute your know-how, gain valuable practical experience in a large company and build up your network step by step.

You ensure we’re ahead of the curve.
You have fresh ideas, clear opinions and want to make a real difference? Then our trainee programme is just what you’re looking for! Completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the past two years, gained initial professional experience and speak German, French and English at B2 level? Great – then start with two consecutive placements of nine months each, with an employment level of 80 to 100 percent.
We plan your first placement based on your strengths, while you organize the second one for yourself. This allows you to broaden your horizons and network and contribute your ideas directly. If joined-up thinking, initiative and team spirit are your thing, you’re in the right place.

Your options.
On the Swiss Post trainee programme, you’ll work in one or more units that suit your interests and current company needs – for example, in Project Management, Digital Ethics & AI, Corporate Development, Innovation, Human Resources or Controlling. The placements may vary in terms of content. Exact details can be found in the relevant jobadvertisements for trainees.
Your start.
It all kicks off twice a year: you’ll start the trainee programme in April or October, mainly in Bern. Apply for the April start in autumn (September/October) or for the October start in spring (March/April). And yes, it is possible to work from home one to two days a week by arrangement.
Your plus for tomorrow.
You’ll have a training budget of CHF 4,000 at your disposal. You can use it for courses in our broad learning landscape or externally (e.g. for language courses, IT courses). And you can also gain valuable experience during placements in operations. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your network thanks to various events and internal communities for young employees. And after the programme, some of our trainees will start work directly for the Group: a permanent position is not guaranteed, but it is possible.
Your commitment, your salary.
The trainee programme not only puts you in the thick of the action, but also pays you fairly: in the first twelve months, you’ll receive CHF 78,000, and in the last six months, you receive CHF 80,000, including a 13th month’s salary. So your commitment really pays off!
